Construction and Demolition Recycling
Construction and demolition debris includes solid waste that comes from construction, remodeling,
repair or demolition operations on pavement, buildings or other structures. C&D waste accounts for a significant
part of the waste stream in North Carolina. In order to keep these materials out of the landfill, save space and extend
the life of the landfill, some local governments have started programs that reuse or recycle C&D
materials.
