Questionnaire for Determining What Level is Right for You

If you are not sure which level to apply for, take this quick questionnaire to find out. The following questionnaire is provided to assist a site in determining at what level to apply. A site should only apply at the level for which it has checked all boxes. Please start at the beginning and select all that apply.

Partner Apply for this level if you feel your site can meet the following requirements:
	Can you demonstrate commitment to compliance (does not mean the site cannot have had a compliance issue)?
	Will you commit to report annually on environmental performance goals, reductions in environmental emissions and/or discharges, solid and hazardous waste disposal, use of energy and water and any reportable non-compliance events?
	Will you commit to developing an EMS based on ISO 14001 or a functionally equivalent model? (Functionally Equivalent Model)

Rising Steward Apply for this level if you feel your site can meet the Partner requirements and the following:
	Do you have a mature EMS that is ISO 14001 certified or meets DENR functionally equivalent model? (Guidance on Mature EMS and Functionally Equivalent Model)
	Have you established environmental performance goals?
	Do these goals include measurable reductions, pollution prevention and / or process efficiency improvements?
	Can you show a commitment to meet and go beyond compliance through past and current activities? (Beyond Compliance Guidance)

Steward Apply for this level if you feel your site can meet the Partner and Rising Steward requirements, and the following:
	Have you established aggressive goals? (Aggressive Goals Guidance)
	Do you have a process for communicating with the local community regarding environmental programs and progress toward performance goals? (Examples)
	Can you demonstrate the integration of the EMS into core business function? (Examples)
