                Tires block Superfund cleanup and insight into contamination. 
                (Davis liquid waste site in Rhode Island) 
            Abstract: The EPA, the Justice Dept. and 54 parties that polluted 
            the Davis liquid waste Superfund site have agreed upon a $32-million 
            cleanup plan before the US District Court in Providence, RI. EPA 
            Project Manager Neil E. Handler explained that the remediation 
            includes an alternative water supply for 120 households situated 
            near the site, on-site thermal desorption treatment for contaminated 
            soil and pump-and-treat groundwater cleansing.
